The BIG Show Takes the Construction Sector Forward
Hamriyah Free Zone signs up as VIP Lounge Sponsor 

From March 21 to 23, pioneer and leading exhibitions and conferences organizer Omanexpo takes another big step yet for the building and construction industry as it holds its 8th edition of the formerly named “Interiors and Buildex” Exhibition, now re-branded The BIG Show (Builders International Gathering), at the Oman International Exhibition Center.

As the Sultanate’s construction sector is gaining stead with the rise in the number of multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects and investment, The BIG Show is equally gaining momentum in its preparations to, once again, set up the platform for local and international companies to avail of the exhibition’s offering of the latest building and construction products and interior furnishings, equipment and services in the market, and for providing new opportunities as well as opening up new markets in the Sultanate.

The increase in the number of participating companies reaching over 300, and covering more than 30 countries, the growth in the number of national pavilions, which include Italy, Iran, Turkey, the UK and the UAE, and the still-mounting number of exhibitors affirms the anticipated success of The BIG Show this year. 

Apart from the exhibition, the show will introduce a conference that will highlight sustainability in building construction and infrastructure investment opportunities as well as feature a special Construction Equipment and Demonstration Zone, which will offer live demonstrations of heavy equipment.  

“We are greatly encouraged by the government’s thrust to strengthen this sector with its attractive foreign investment policies, as it gives us more leverage to bring in global companies, more impetus to expand the show’s offerings, and on a wider scale, help draw investment to Oman,” said Nasser Diab, general manager of Omanexpo. 

“The BIG Show has already made its mark as one of the most significant building and construction platforms in Oman and in the region.  What drives the growth of the industry is what also drives the growth of our show.  With Oman’s strengthening infrastructure and the continuous development and implementation of large-scale projects, backed by the same growth that the region is experiencing, the sector will definitely see growth at a speedier pace,” The BIG Show’s project manager, Abdullah Beg, added.

He also said that the continuous support of the show’s sponsors and partners is proof of the show’s value and credibility as well as its standing as an important event for the sector.

Recently, Sharjah-based company Hamriyah Free Zone signed up as The BIG Show’s VIP Lounge Sponsor, adding to the event’s existing roster of sponsors, such as Platinum Sponsor Windows 2000, Gold Sponsor Panorama Windows Co. LLC, and Visitor Badge Sponsor Mohammad Riaz & Partner LLC.
